FACE MASK

Prepare a thick baking soda paste by mixing baking soda and water. When you get the smooth consistency, start applying them on pimples with clean hands. Leave the mask until the paste dries completely on the acne. The pimples will dry off after applying this face mask.

ORANGE JUICE AND BAKING SODA

Instead of mixing only water you can mix the no pulp orange juice with baking soda and make a paste. Massage this paste in slow and circular motion on your affected skin. The anti-inflammatory and antiseptic property of baking soda reduces irritation of acne. The vitamin C rich paste makes the skin brighter and exfoliates the skin.

BAKING SODA SHAMPOO

For acne on forehead, use baking soda with shampoo. Mix 2-3 grams of baking soda to your shampoo bottle and use this for head bath.

BAKING SODA BATH

Add baking soda to your bath tub with lukewarm water. Soak yourself for few minutes in the tub and bathe well. Continue to do this until back acne has completed vanished.

CLEANSER

For an acne prone skin you can make a good mixture of baking soda and facial cleanser. Scrub the area in circular motion for few minutes. Look for oily and congested areas like forehead, sides of your nose, cheeks and upper lip and apply in those areas.

Take few tea spoons of baking soda and add low fat yogurt and mix it well. Add few drops of lemon juice to this mixture. You can add egg white to it and whisk till the consistency of cream. BAKING SODA PASTE FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

Make a mixture of water and baking soda in a bowl. Mash apple and some amount of grated cucumber in a different bowl. You can now add the baking soda mixture and add a tea spoon of honey to it. Stir all these ingredients together and refrigerate it for an hour. Apply this cool mixture on your skin and wash after 10 minutes.

SPONGE BATH

Mix water and baking soda in a small tub. Dip the sponge in the tub and rub on your body, especially back. For oil prone skin and back acne, sponge bath works best.

SCRUB

A cleansing scrub can be prepared using sodium bicarbonate crystals and cane sugar. Leave it for two minutes. These acts as mild exfoliate on your skin. The dead cells are removed and bacteria causing acne are completely destroyed.

Along with removing the acne, baking soda also helps to remove the stubborn acne scars from your skin. Overall, it is a very cheap and effective method to exfoliate the skin and make it appear clear.
