What is Alkaline Water?
The pH (potential hydrogen) scale ranges from zero to fourteen. The neutral middle value is seven. A substance that has pH less than 7 is an acid, and a substance that has pH more than 7 is a basic or alkaline substance. The tap water you drink is usually a combination of chlorine, antibiotics, hormones and other metals that will go straight into your system.
Water impurity contributes to a weakened immune system and an array of other diseases that happen when the immune system is vulnerable. Very often our body becomes too acidic and we feel exhaustion, fatigue, low energy, digestive problems, weight gain and other side effects that can be totally avoided if we drank pure water and ate fresh and organic vegetables with a healthy acid/alkaline balance.
Importance of Alkalinity
We know since long ago that the food we consume can determine our general pH levels. The Nobel Prize winner from 1931, Dr. Otto Warburg from Germany, has achieved this recognition for finding out that up to 95 percent of all cancers have acidic environment as a cause. He has also revealed that cancers cannot thrive in alkaline environments with pH level of 7.36 or more.
Even a century ago, this doctor claimed that acidosis, or excess acidity, is not only linked to cancer development, but it can also lead to other diseases, including osteoporosis, diabetes, heart diseases and almost all other chronic diseases people nowadays suffer from.

How Does It Work?
One of the most efficient ingredients when it comes to pH balancing is lemon. Although acidic in nature, lemon is inherently alkaline and aids the ability of the body to maintain its balance. It has strong antibacterial properties and it also works great against infections, aiding in the treatment of numerous conditions ranging from bad breath to cholera. Lemon also has 22 anti-cancer features.
