McDonalds is the most famous fast food company in the world, many people are literally addicted to the taste of McDonald meals. If you are one of them, you will surely avoid eating at McDonald’s after reading these horrific facts. It’s a known fact that in order to give the flavor and taste to their meals, fast food restaurants use different chemicals.

But did you ever think that your favorite burger would have crushed beetles, soil fertilizer or plastic in it? Well we are sorry to inform you that you might just be eating these disgusting additives every time you decide to hit the drive-thru.

Below are listed all of the yucky reasons why you need to steer clear from this type of food at all times:

1.) Ammonium Sulfate

It is often used when bread is made, but this fertilizer is seriously harmful to your health because it is also used to kill bugs.

 2.) Silicone Oil

This silicone oil is often found in meals like the Chicken McNuggets and is also known as dimethylpolysiloxane. This substance is also used to produce contact lenses and other medical supplies.

3.) Cysteine-L

This amino acid is often used by restaurants, but this actually derives from human hair or duck feathers and gives the meat its flavor. Also, it finds a purpose in making the pastries and the bread softer.

4.) TBHQ

McDonald’s has a practice to use this additive in many of its meals, although the FDA has pre-approved it for consumption.

5.) Propylene Glycol

This chemical is not only found in food, but in the cigarette producing industry, and is also used as an anti-freeze. Yikes!

6.) Prescription Drugs

Experts at the Hopkins University have analyzed duck feathers and managed to discover that many anti-depressants and other drugs are used in the breeding of these birds. So, every time you think of a McChicken sandwich or a dish of McNuggets, keep in mind how the poultry was fed.

7.) Dimethylpolysiloxane

This substance is frequently found in deep-fried foods as well as in other totally unrelated things, like silly putty, contact lenses, caulking, shampoo and conditioners, cosmetics, polishes, heat resistant tiles, and others.

8.) Carminic Acid

This acid is used for giving food its color (particularly red meat), and it is known to be synthesized by Cochineal beetles.

9.) Cellulose

As odd as it may sound, this compound is found in almost all fast food dishes on a standard menu.

10.) Silicon Dioxide

Think that fast food contains industrial sand, and things will become clearer for you. It is mostly used to keep chili sauces from together.
